It's the first address dedicated to donuts that we've come across in this corner of Paris. Once we'd got over the shock of learning that it was on rue Juge, we dashed off to Dupleix to pick up our precious doughnuts a few days before Mardi Gras. Despite the rather old-fashioned, uninviting frontage, the Donuterie is a bright, attractive store offering 15 plump, shimmering doughnuts.
The adorable waitress manages to make us drool over the donuts and beignets, because yes, at La Donuterie, some donuts are filled for extra flavor. The best-sellers are the choco love with its hazelnut caramel bonbon, the cookie creaminal (a very good play on words for a donut with white chocolate icing and Oreo chips), and theAlmond choco (nutella donut). These donuts are complemented by the Godzilla, a vanilla-filled donut, and the Apple caramel, with apple jam. They sell for between €4 and €4.5 for around 90 grams, and are well worth it. They're definitely in our top 3 of the best donuts in the capital: they're gourmet without being sickening, and will really appeal to (big) kids.
Formulas allow you to leave with a doughnut and a medium-sized hot drink for 5.5 euros, making this a very good address for a snack on the go. Café Latte, Vanilla Latte, Hot Chocolate and teas are all on the menu. For the festive season, La Donuterie is offering boxes of assortments, all available on Uber Eats. We approve!
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
