Ochaya Matcha is a new Japanese restaurant and tea room in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, which celebrates matcha. On the menu: bubble tea and other beverages, gourmet desserts, matcha-based ice creams and savoury gua baos and bibimbaps.

We're off to Place de la République to discover Matcha Ochaya, the new gourmet spot for lovers of bubble tea and matcha specialities! Opened last August, the address is already a great success. If you're looking for a nice bubble tea with a sweet or savoury treat, this is the place to go. And if, as an added bonus, you like matcha, this is the winning combo for you.

On arrival, it's hard to miss the address, as its pink cherry blossom-trimmed storefront doesn't go unnoticed. Inside, after the playful swing, a large, full-length counter reveals itself on the left, before several tables with green banquettes on the right. Therestaurant-tea room has 2 floors. Upstairs, there are alcoves with banquettes and small tables for two.

If you're coming for lunch or dinner, note that the menu offers Bibimbaps with beef, chicken, shrimp and even vegetarian dishes (between 13€ and 15€). Also on the menu, gua baos in shrimp, beef, chicken or vegetarian versions, served with fries if you like. Count €6 for gua bao on its own and €8.80 for the rather generous version with fries. Good and hot, you'll have a great time. You can accompany it with fritters, takoyaki and chicken wings.
