It's hard not to think of Paris as a hyperactive capital, whose frenetic pace can be disconcerting. But while Parisians may seem to be in a hurry on a day-to-day basis, when it comes to having a good time, everyone has their own favourite address, which they sometimes keep jealously to themselves. But since we're decidedly not discreet, we'd like to share with you a well-hidden address in a confidential and surprisingly quiet alley in the heart of the Haussmann district, notably known for its hustle and bustle.
We're off to Rue Edouard VII to discover a little-known spot in the capital, with its sublime architecture typical ofthe Haussmann district, in a pedestrian alley sheltered from traffic. That's where Auburn awaits you, with its charming terrace. Nestled in theHotel Indigo Paris Opera, this chill, elegant coffee shop awaits Parisians of all ages, whether they're looking for a soothing, gourmet break.
Here, you'll find all the coffee shop essentials: good lattes, matcha for aficionados of this Japanese green tea, and a menu that plays on our favorite sins. Throughout the day, Auburn evolves and adapts to our rhythm: from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., early risers and late risers can enjoy breakfast. Continuous service, from noon to 5pm, offers a delicious, gourmet and healthy menu. And when it's time for an aperitif, Auburn transforms itself into a wine bar. As you can see, it's an evolving HQ that you can invest in at any time.

If you feel like stopping off for a treat, you'll find something to satisfy every appetite. Generous salads, dapper sandwiches, dishes that change with the seasons and, of course, sweets for dessert lovers! For our part, we fell in love with the brioche shrimp sandwich, a fresh take on the lobster roll. Between two half-crisp, half-chewy toasts, melting avocado, full-flavored pink shrimp, a generous cocktail sauce, chives and lime to spice things up. A true sin mignon inspired by this New York trend.
We promised you generous salads, and with this one featuring smoked duck breast and green beans, you're in for a treat! Both refreshing and comforting, it features peach, hazelnut, piquillo, spinach shoots and hazelnut oil. Be careful, it's quite hearty!
With the sun shining during our visit, the menu included a dish that had us longing for the seaside: sea bass ceviche marinated in coconut milk, lime and a hint of chilli. Both sweet and tangy, this dish won us over, and we're delighted with the sweet potato melt-in-the-mouth accompaniment, which also adds a comforting note.
Last but not least, we couldn't resist the call of a matcha latte, made according to the rules of the art, and accompanied by a slice of chocolate cake, not too sweet and with a cocoa taste that will delight purists.
Auburn is the address that adapts to the pace of Parisians. We particularly like the spot for a quiet date, a telecommuting session or a relaxing aperitif.
