Not far from the Place d'Italie, opposite the Corvisart metro station, a cat café opened its doors in August 2025. Marie and Aniss opened this small space with around twenty places to eat, with a single ambition: to make the lives of shelter cats as sweet as possible, in the heart of a place that reflects their image, welcoming, and whose menu is 100% plant-based. But unlike other cat cafés, here you can also adopt a little fur ball for life and meet your four-legged best friend!
In this quiet place, you're a guest and the cats are the masters! They decide whether they want to be petted or sleep in the warmth, like Baggy, who remained hidden throughout our visit. Others, such as Lazare and Pearl, accompanied us during our snack, much to our delight, as it was certainly the cutest gourmet break of our existence.
Unlike some cat cafés, where the cats seem to be all on top of each other, each has his or her own space, especially as there aren't too many of them: six residents. Enough to look after them properly and offer them a good life and a bit of company, outside the BooGlaw shelter, with which the café is partnered, while they await their future owners. At the time of our visit, just one week after opening, two cats had already found their new families in the neighborhood and were waiting to join them!
Wonderful news, which will enable other sociable cats to join the café soon and have their chance too. If you fall in love with one of the residents and would like to adopt it, don't forget that it's a lifelong responsibility, which you can discuss with the association. But if you're a cat lover but can't take one into your home, you can spend some time in the café petting them, while enjoying some homemade vegetable treats.
For a snack, we opted for adorable lemon-ginger muffins (6.5€) in the shape of cats' paws, melt-in-your-mouth soft, but also a raspberry and chocolate tart with a scoop of raspberry sorbet (11€), for a bit of pep and gourmandise on the plate, all accompanied by apple juice and a café latte. A delicious moment with Pearl, who was determined to stay on the radiator next to us to watch the street and the passers-by, who were also taken aback!
Savory snacks are also available if you're not very sweet, or want to drop in for lunch. The menu changes seasonally, with a strong emphasis on plant-based and responsible products, and a brunch option priced at 28 euros. Your consumption allows you to stay a certain amount of time, depending on whether it's a drink, a small snack or a large one (1 to 2 hours), to enjoy the purring of the cats.
Of course, you can also bring your children, from the age of 7, if they are able to respect the freedom of the cats without running after them. Needless to say, if you're allergic to cat hair, this isn't exactly the place for you! We advise you to come a little before snack time and on weekdays to make sure there's enough room, as the café is small for groups and the crowds are bigger after 4pm.
