La Ferme de Gally in Saint-Denis is offering educational workshops for city dwellers to learn how to make bread and pizza, running from March to June 2026. An idyllic countryside experience just a stone’s throw from Paris!

Although the original Ferme de Gally was initially located in Saint-Cyr-l’École, it has since expanded to open doors in Sartrouville and Saint-Denis. Since 2017, the farm has carried this name in Seine-Saint-Denis, but it’s been around much longer, dating back to 1920. It carries the legacy of a rural tradition—the last market garden farm in the Vertus plain. Today, it offers families the chance to meet animals and learn about farm life in an urban setting—a place that combines production with education.

There's an opportunity to participate in a variety of hands-on workshops suitable for children and adults alike. Whether you're interested in learning about animals, exploring your creativity, or even making your own bread or pizza! Over approximately three hours, you'll be guided by a farm instructor, starting with preparing the dough—learning how to knead and shape it—or discovering the behind-the-scenes process of flour production, which involves grinding and sifting old varieties of flour.

While she harvests, enjoy a guided tour of the farm, complete with charming moments spent with the animals, which you’ll be able to pet and feed. Depending on the season, you might stroll through the fields and large greenhouses or explore the Farm Museum, showcasing the evolution of market gardening techniques.

Once your dough is ready, you can prepare the toppings for your pizza using artisan ingredients, sourced directly from the producer, or elevate your bread with dried fruits or chocolate. Finally, head to the for an authentic pizza or a freshly baked loaf, before sharing and enjoying it with your group.

Expect to spend about 65 euros to craft your own pizza and 35 euros for the bread. However, keep in mind that there’s currently only one session per month, held on weekends, from March to June.
