A famous fashion house is handing out free Italian gelato on a terrace in Paris.

When fashion runs hot, it rolls out the ice-cream cart. From June 29 to July 11, 2026, a free ice-cream giveaway will set up outside the new Ami Paris store, at 4, Place des Victoires, in the 1st arrondissement. In partnership with the Italian brand Sammontana, the initiative marks the opening of this new Parisian address.

In front of the shop, the setup feels like a summer break: high tables, parasols, and an ice-cream trolley form a ephemeral terrace open to passersby. You can snag a complimentary ice cream, while supplies last, for a quick chilly detour between Les Halles, the Palais-Royal, and the chic shopping streets of central Paris.

The fashion-and-ice-cream duo isn’t new to them. In 2025, Valentino Beauty had already offered free ice cream at a summer pop-up.

On the ice-cream side, Sammontana brings an Italian touch. Born in Empoli, Tuscany, in the late 1940s, the brand started from a family gelateria before becoming one of the big names in Italian ice cream, notably with its family-sized formats like the Barattolino.
