Eggs in every possible sauce… That’s what Egg Factory offers, the “Gourmet fast food” spot in Paris’s 10th arrondissement. The concept? Just like Birdy Hamburgers, the idea for this restaurant was born on a trip to the United States where eggs are typically served in a bagel or a croissant with cheese and meat. An idea naturally tailored to Parisian palates, making this culinary experience even more indulgent by serving it in a brioche bun.
To craft your burger, a wide range of fresh ingredients is on offer: cheddar, onions, bacon, cream cheese, avocado, salmon… The cream of the crop when it comes to burger toppings. On the eggs front, to “serve the very best of the best,” all ingredients are farm-fresh, Label Rouge, from free-range hens. Even the mayonnaise and the desserts (except the Nutella bun) are house-made.
Product quality, a vocation close to the heart of Benjamin Kam, the venue’s director: “Today, the image of fast food is too often tied to junk food,” he explains. He adds: “I want to break that stereotype and meet the needs of an urban, busy, young, energetic crowd that cares about what it eats by offering fast, high-quality service.”
Burgers we had the chance to try... Our verdict? We loved them! Whether it's the bun Avocado or the bun Cheese, the eggs partner perfectly with the bacon, avocado, or even the ground beef. The burgers are fairly light, and the fries, Belgian-style and 100% house-made, are to die for.
Custom-made sandwiches, to be enjoyed on site or to go, available sold individually or as part of a menu with a drink and/or side. And for gluten-intolerant diners, the sandwiches can be turned into a salad, to satisfy every palate. Perfect for a little craving… shall we head over, friends?
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
