Rue des rosiers, in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, you could almost pass by: a large sliding wooden gate, no particular insignia, and yet it is here, at number 70, that the MOB House is located, an intimate hotel, prized for its swimming pool in the summer, its DJ sets on weekday evenings, or at lunchtime at Feuille de Chou, its organic brasserie that offers a starter-main course-dessert formula for €25.
Feuille de Chou is the meeting of two trends, two universes: on the one hand, there is the spirit of a true Parisian (in this case, Audonian) bouillon, where you can enjoy generous French cuisine during your lunch break. On the other hand, it's the quality and sourcing of ingredients that have been brought to the forefront, with a certified organic brewery that cooks with 95% organically grown food.
On the menu? Classics of French gastronomy - hard-boiled eggs with mayonnaise, celery remoulade, mashed sausage, leeks with vinaigrette, poultry fricassee - revisited in an "organic & modern brasserie" style by chef Nicolas Storai. Here, the success of the recipes is hidden in the details: the pumpkin seed coulis on the pumpkin velouté, the salmon tartar on top of the celery remoulade dome, the homemade pickles hidden in the restaurant's signature burger, in the bread that arrives hot in its basket, the slices of candied lemon on the snacked salmon... Or in the drinks menu, which focuses on refreshing, tangy cocktails and mocktails that are never too sweet, such as the Beet by Mule, which combines vodka, beet juice and cherry blossom, or the Floral Grove, with its light chamomile scent, enhanced by lemon-apple-sparkling water juice.
As far as service is concerned, Feuille de Chou does not deviate from the rule of the quick lunch, taken in the middle of a day of work at a thousand miles an hour: the service is fast, efficient, the dishes prepared before your eyes from the open kitchen. For 25 €, the chef (and his team) serve you a 100% sourced cuisine with products coming from short circuits, 95% organic, necessarily French. For big stomachs, we recommend the three-course lunch formula for 25 € or, if you're afraid of not having enough room, its little sister at 22 € (starter-main course or main course-dessert formula).
Off the menu, the Feuille de Chou burger (vegan version à la carte) is worth the detour, with its butcher-style steak, caramelized bacon and farmhouse comté cheese. "The poultry fricassee or the beef fondant with olives also work very well," confides the waitress, in her khaki suit, the uniform required for the service team. Otherwise, the chef offers suggestions every week with, depending on his inspiration, a starter, a main course and a dessert on the agenda and in addition to the menu.
Outside of lunch, Feuille de Chou is also the place to come for a drink, a coffee, a snack... service is provided all day long and the menu of desserts or finger food to share can satisfy all desires. Sweet potato and ginger accras, homemade fries, and a plate of local cheeses can be shared over a drink or as a snack, whatever the time of day. For the sweet tooth, try the (very) delicious French toast with salted butter caramel topped with a scoop of ice cream, rice pudding, floating island or orange salad with orange blossom, sprinkled with pistachio chips.
Even without food, the MOB House is the perfect space to telecommute : when you enter, it's the first on the left. Here you'll find everything you need to spend your working day, including lunch (or not), have a coffee, make your calls, your meetings... Without being disturbed. All you have to do is settle in wherever you want: curl up in the sofas, prefer the huge designer chairs, join the meeting table... provided for this purpose, with plugs everywhere to connect your computer.
What do we remember? No matter the time of day, your desire, your need, the MOB House and its brasserie Feuille de Chou, on the first floor, welcome you, no matter what your desire. And that's what we like about this place: you can sit or sit down as if you were at home and clearly, you feel really good.
