The "La Pâtisserie des Rêves" (The Pastry shop of Dreams) concept, by Philippe Conticini & Thierry Teyssier never stops expanding. After the first 2 parisian shop, we now have a third one, in the brand new "Centre commercial Beaugrenelle" (the Beaugrenelle shopping center), in the 15th arrondissement. Let's rejoice... and go eat a few pastries!

Philippe Conticini, one of the best pastry chefs in the world is more and more... all over the place, in Paris (and we're loving it!). After the Rue du Bac (7th arrondissement), the rue de Longchamp (16th arrondissement), Rue Poncelet (17th arrondissement) and the Parly 2 shopping center (Le Chesnay, 78), he inaugurated last October a new Pâtisserie des Rêves inside the new centre commercial Beaugrenelle.

The atmosphere is basically the same as in the two other shops, with flashy colours and the pastries on display under glass bells as would be jewelry. We are definitely fond of the ultra-classic : the renowned Saint-Honoré, the insanely good Paris-Brest, the millefeuille to die for, the pretty perfect lemon pie...

In this little 50m2 shop, one will find the pastries of course, but also a number of innovations that should surprise you, rather pleasantly. After our "Tarte conversation" ("conversationnal tart") and "stick version of the Kouign Amann" periods, we're now crazy about the Christmas logs.

For the record, the Pâtisserie des Rêves was born in 2009 from the meeting between Philippe Conticini, talented pastry chef, inventor of the "verrines" (the food glasses) for instance, and Thierry Teyssier, creative art director .

The two artists wanted more than anything to get children to eat pastries again, developping their "gourmet memory"
, by revisiting the classics of the French pastry industry. Thus, the Pâtisserie des Rêves has been offering for 4 years now, the big classics... revisited for our greatest pleasure & delight. But they wanted more: to see their customers' eyes light up as soon as they would enter the shop.

In our opinion, they definitely succeeded: we're fond of the atsmosphere, that reminds us of a carousel, with fairly magical colors that make us want to eat everything in the shop.

Now if you don't mind, I have cakes to buy...
