Philippe Conticini, one of the best pastry chefs in the world is more and more... all over the place, in Paris (and we're loving it!). After the Rue du Bac (7th arrondissement), the rue de Longchamp (16th arrondissement), Rue Poncelet (17th arrondissement) and the Parly 2 shopping center (Le Chesnay, 78), he inaugurated last October a new Pâtisserie des Rêves inside the new centre commercial Beaugrenelle.
The atmosphere is basically the same as in the two other shops, with flashy colours and the pastries on display under glass bells as would be jewelry. We are definitely fond of the ultra-classic : the renowned Saint-Honoré, the insanely good Paris-Brest, the millefeuille to die for, the pretty perfect lemon pie...
In this little 50m2 shop, one will find the pastries of course, but also a number of innovations that should surprise you, rather pleasantly. After our "Tarte conversation" ("conversationnal tart") and "stick version of the Kouign Amann" periods, we're now crazy about the Christmas logs.
