There’s a breath of freshness and newness at Café Etienne Marcel. This restaurant that used to belong to Costes group and taken over by Bourdoncle group to whom we owe Parisian spots such as Le Hibou Saint-Germain, Café Mabillon and the excellent Margherita.
Good riddance to the seventies-inspired decor and the flashy white plastic furniture, the décor changes completely. Designed by architects Clément & Clémence Goutal to whom we owe La Fidélité decor or Bambou décor, Café Etienne Marcel rises in a warm and timeless setting.
Leather seats, bistro tables and large central bar give a welcoming and laid-back ensemble. The terrace gets bigger to satisfy sun enthusiasts. Re-opened in late May 2018, this spacious restaurant covering 150 sqm now counts 200 seats in the room and 30 in the terrace.
In the kitchen, the house bets on fresh, local and quality produces. We find very French classics as well as modern recipes (detox juices, seasonal salads, nice burgers and original cocktails…).
Big novelty, the place launches its brand-new Sunday brunch. An all-you-can-eat brunch likely to make more than one person drool. Think viennoiseries from their own bakery, gourmet salads, bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs, salmon, charcuteries, cakes, soft-boiled eggs to do yourself, fresh juices and even oysters galore!
Feeling like taking the kids? Know that the restaurant is kid’s friendly. A clown-entertainment expect children in the basement on Sundays. Balloon sculpture and makeup are also on the menu.
In other words, to enjoy an excellent all-you-can-eat brunch based on fresh produces, you know where to go!
