Fresh pasta lovers have found their new canteen with Madison Caffe, a restaurant set in Paris 16th arrondissement, a stone’s throw from the Trocadero gardens. After Brooklyn Pizzeria, The Little Italy and Manhattan Terrazza, Garry Dorr, the place founder, invites you to discover fresh pasta made in front of you and to order. The occasion to enjoy the very best of Italy!

The best of Italian flavors next to the Trocadero gardens… Madison Caffe is a restaurant set in Paris 16th arrondissement inviting gastronomes to discover its menu based on fresh pasta provided in a beautiful setting between Dante’s country and the United States. A mix the address founder Garry Dorr knows very well since he’s behind trattorias such as The Little Italy, The Brooklyn Pizzeria and Manhattan Terrazza.

A young and dynamic atmosphere providing – like any of his establishments – an urban and New-York inspired setting and a very different menu for each. The specialty? Serving a unique selection of fresh pasta for dishes made to order and in front of you. You can’t go fresher! New as well, a 50-seat speakeasy smoking room giving onto a garden courtyard. To access it, you only have to give the password and there you go, enjoy this small corner of heaven shaped like a speakeasy from the roaring twenties.

Also note you can have lunch and dinner (non-stop service from 8 a.m. to midnight) on swings or in hanging boxing cages in tribute to – as the restaurant names says to – the Madison Square Garden and its legendary boxing room from the Prohibition.

Moving on to the menu, it’s very simple and relies on Italian products extremely well-sourced. Orecchiete, linguine, elbow pasta, fusilli, mafaldine, spaghetti and other macaroni… As many varieties to enjoy without any moderation! And for gourmands who want to have something else, you can also treat yourself to a burrata Murgia, homemade focaccia and other Stracciatella pugliese.

Food we tried… and absolutely loved! We went for a board of cold cuts as hearty as delicious as a starter. Then, we enjoyed some orecchiette pesto and burrata, tagliatelle alla carbonara. As for dessert, to wrap up on a lighter note we chose some Piedmont hazelnut ice cream. delicious and very hearty dishes for gourmands…. And we can undoubtedly say you’ll find the best pasta in town here!

In other words, THE new address to discover urgently… Let’s go, friends, shall we?

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
