Feel like treating yourself while discovering new flavors? You will then love Selva, this Amazonian restaurant that opened a month before last year’s lockdown and now expecting you in their many spaces.

When you arrive, discover the two-part terrace, one across the restaurant, and another, on the side, across the Musée Cluny. Inside, the jungle. A big bar filled with plants to wait with a beautiful group table. On the right, one room with several tables.
Walk up the staircase and the green wall to discover another big room upstairs. In other words, there is no problem, space does not lack in this verdant restaurant whether the weather is great or not.
On your plate, South-American specialties, Peruvian and Colombian flavors bistronomic style. At the helm, two talented chefs: Felipe Camargo (from Manko) and Jose Orlando.
Start your meal with tasty homemade cocktails. Go for the delicious Pisco Sour mixing Pisco, lemon, sugar, egg white, and Agustura. A genuine delight to discover. Alcohol-free cocktails are also available.
Then, move to Tequeños de Queso, tasty runny mozzarella sticks served with seasoned and spicy guacamole.
We fell in love with the Gyozas Nikkei, as crispy as can be. A fusion cuisine offer mixing candied duck, shiitake mushrooms, Amarillo and parmesan sauce. Trying is adopting.
How about squid, now? Here, is served some very soft, grilled squid twisted with chimichurri sauce and many fresh herbs. It is served with surprising and chewy mashed cassava with spicy anticuchera sauce.
Lemony ceviche fans will be over the moon. Fish – depending on deliveries – spicy leche de tigre, cilantro, red inion and mashed sweet potatoes, and giant choclo corn to soften it all, it is divine.
Tasty meat fans will have the braised sirloin steak covered in homemade chimichurri sauce, and tasty fries or seasoned salad. If you love crunchy fries, you will not be disappointed as they are cooked three times to be this crunchy. Baked, grilled over charcoal and then fried and salted, they are perfect.
For a soft finish, note desserts are not left out. Go for the Merengón, some seasonal fruit pavlova served with a surprising guanabana (soursop) mousse and thin crunchy meringue. Chocolate lovers will enjoy the Chocolate y Lucuma, moist chocolate cake topped with Lucuma mousse (a fruit reminding of avocado with hints of caramel), and a thin layer of crunchy roasted corn caramel.
You get it, this is a great restaurant you must discover.
