Italian food fans, we might have found a place likely to delight you! Let us run to Fi’lia, an Italian restaurant set on the first floor of Pullman Paris Montparnasse, and serving a menu with great Italian flavors, with a Mediterranean twist. A fourth Fi’lia restaurant – but the first one in Europe after Nassau, Dubai and Miami.
A place that serves simple cuisine based on fresh produces; “Fi'lia is all about sharing and transmission from the grand-mother (La Nonna) to the mother (La Mamma) onto the daughter (La Figlia). Traditional recipes, created around fresh ingredients from the hearth are perpetuated, shaped and reinvented from generation to generation”. Once you are in, be immersed in an ambiance mixing the 1930’s and Art Deco, both warm and friendly. The open-plan kitchen improves the immersion, providing vey exhilaration show-cooking.
As for the menu, it is created by Ennismore group executive chef Sara Aqel and the restaurant chef, Alfredo Bellisario. They serve Italian cuisine with a Mediterranean twist through a menu in three versions: la nonna (grand-mother) and traditional Italian flavors, la mamma (mother) and revisited classics and la figlia (daughter) and contemporary recipes.
What about dishes then? Iconic dishes based on thoroughly sourced produces from France and Italy, like the oregano focaccia and burrata, antipasti and saffron arancini, and carpaccios. As for mains, fall in love with the pastas, of course: parmigiana pasta, saffron risotto, carbonara pasta and truffles, quasi puttanesca, gnocchis and caviar… It has it all to surprise gourmands and foodies.
Meat and fish lovers are not left out since the place also serves great dishes like the grilled seabream and veal Milanese. As for dessert, the “Fi’liamisu” and its homemade savoiardi cake, the panna cotta and the pavlova are likely to please sweet-toothed patrons.
