The Tour de France organization team unveiled the road for the edition 2020! An exceptional road for this 107th anniversary to discover from Saturday June 27 to Sunday July 19, 2020.
21 stages will form this new edition covering 3,470 kilometers. On the menu? Flat stages, medium mountain stages, mountain stages including mountain top finishes, 2 individual time-trials and only 2 rest days.
Leaving from Nice, the Tour 2020 will have the racing cyclists to complete in the Nice countryland. The second day will include the first difficulties with the Col de la Colmiane and the Col du Turini to cross immediately after.
What's next? 198 km between Nice and Sisternon with an uneven relief, then, for the 4th stage a finish line set 1800m in altitude, making racers' calves face a few tough kilometers, only four days after the beginning of the Tour de France.
The longest stage of the Tour (218km) is unmissable: on July 9, the race will go from Chauvigny to Sarran Corrèze.
Before, the racers would have joined Privas, Mont Aigoual and Lavaur before cycling their way to the Pyrénées. During the 8th mountain stage leading them to Loudenvielle where they'll have to face the Col de Menté, Port de Balès and Cold de Peyresourde. The day after, they'll have to cycle an intense path between Pau and Laruns.
The only race against time of this Tour de France 2020 will cover 36km between Lure and La Planche des belles filles.
The Tour de France 2020 will end on Sunday July 19, 2020 between Mantes-la-Jolie and the world’s most beautiful avenue covering 122 kilometers.
