Champs-Élysées pedestrianized: car-free day this Sunday on the avenue!

The Champs-Élyséeswithout cars (i.e.,pedestrians only)—is it possible? Yes, it's what the Paris City Council offers one Sunday a month throughout the year, usually the first. It's an opportunity for Parisians, whether for a day or forever, to stroll freely along the most beautiful avenue in the world without cars. Want to enjoy this unmissable event on the Parisian calendar? The next date is Sunday, December 7, 2025.

As a reminder, with "Paris Respire", Paris City Hall hopes to reduce fine particle emissions. And since October 2018, the car-free perimeter has been extended to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris, allowing pedestrians to fully enjoy the center of the capital.

The anti-pollution plan has therefore continued to gain momentum, resulting in traffic restrictions for older cars and trucks since July 2017.
