At the 2016 Mondial du Tatouage there will be numerous tattoo sessions of course, but that’s not all...March 4-6th, 2016 (Friday through Sunday) at the Grande Halle de La Villette, the event will also include two evenings of concerts that might just knock your socks off. Who will be there? Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Sticky Boys, Orange Goblin, not to mention Hangman’s Chair !
While some people are taking it easy in the alleyways of the Grande Halle de La Villette and getting tattooed, others might be found on pogo sticks, or even boogeying down in front of the stages that will be set up to host several different concerts. The 2016 “Mondial du Tatouage,” the world’s most attended tattoo convention, will continue its tradition and will be showing, on Friday, March 4th and Saturday, March 5th, several live concerts that are sure to bring the house down in the Grande Halle.
For the first evening, set for Friday March 4th, the Sticky Boys will be taking the stage! It goes without saying, this Parisian band plans will be showing you what they’re made of. Don’t forget, they opened for the legendary Lords of Altamont, Nashville Pussy and Elmer Food Beat. In 2015, they appeared at several festivals (Hellfest, ExtremeFest, Motocultor…) As usual, they’ll be bringing a show that brings together humor and rock & roll, that’s sure to give you something to talk about.
The second part of the evening will feature Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats. Originally from Cambridge, this british band is essential to the psychedelic doom music scene. They’ll be performing several pieces from their latest album called “The Night Creeper.”
The next day, Saturday, March 5th, 2016, another group from Paris called Hangman’s Chair will be featured in the Grande Halle de la Villette, playing their latest album, “This is Not Supposed to be Positive,” produced by Francis Caste. The songs on this album are cleaner, simpler, and colder, with vocals by the guitar player and incredible singer Cédric.
On March 5th, don’t miss Orange Gobin live. Spearhead of the European stoner scene, this British group managed to establish themselves over the years as a reference point for fuzz, hardcore and thrash rock. The Mondial du Tatouage tattoo convention is not hiding its excitement to be hosting them for the first show in France since their 20 year anniversary !
