This is the must-see French music event for all metal fans and other lovers of loud music... Every year since 2006, the Hellfest Summer Open Air, better known asHellfest, has welcomed a large number of bands, mainly metal and, to a lesser extent, punk and hardcore.
With tens of thousands of festival-goers and performances by internationally renowned cult bands such as Alice Cooper, Kiss, Rammstein, Motörhead, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Tool, and Deep Purple,Hellfesthas established itself as one of Europe's leading music festivals and one of France's major cultural events.
In 2025, the festival dedicated to extreme music once again pulled out all the stops by inviting a host of prestigious artists, including Linkin Park, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Savatage, Apocalyptica, Spiritbox, The Hu, Epica, Kittie, Korn, Leprous, The Sex Pistols with Frank Carter, Refused, Abbath, Exodus, Dream Theater, Electric Callboy, Kim Dracula, Jinjer, Turnstile, Falling in Reverse, and Muse.
After so much emotion, Hellfest festival-goers can't wait to get back to Clisson and headbang to the rhythms of great heavy metal, punk, hard rock, black metal and progressive metal bands!
So mark your calendars! Hellfest announces its return near Nantes from Thursday, June 18 to Sunday, June 21, 2026. And once again, Hellfest has decided to delight your ears with four days of concerts and festivities.
As for the 2026 lineup, who will have the honor of getting you moshing and jumping around next summer? The festival has unveiled the full lineup, confirming the presence of 183 artists, including 85 bands who will be treading the boards of one of the Hellfest stages for the first time!
Hellfest regulars will be able to see several big headliners such asIron Maiden, who will be celebrating their 50-year career, as well as Alice Cooper, Anthrax,Deep Purple, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, and The Offspring.
Other names scheduled for Hellfest 2026? Bring Me The Horizon, spearheading a new generation, new sensations Bad Omens and Blood Incantation, and a few rarities with A Perfect Circle and Breaking Benjamin. Let's not forgetMegadeth, Sepultura, Acid Bath, France'sUltra Vomit andIgorrr, Belgium'sAmenra, Poland's Behemoth, Denmark's Volbeat, Germany's Kadavar, and Sweden's Cult of Luna.
