Les Foudres: here's what you need to know about the first ceremony dedicated to French metal

Following on from the traditional Victoires de la Musique and the Flammes ceremony dedicated to urban music, now comes the " Les Foudres " ceremony! Initiated by Paris Entertainment Company, which operates theAccor Arena, theAdidas Arena and the Bataclan, this event rewards " the talents of French Metal, whether they be artists, professionals, cultural players or figures behind the scenes ", it is announced in a press release.

Les Foudres 2025: the nominees

For this first edition, hosted by Thomas VDB, 11 categories and therefore 11 awards have been announced, including Revelation of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Event of the Year and Live Performance of the Year. Nominees include Gojira, Mass Hysteria, Alcest, Landmvrks, Sun, Ten56, Last Train and Rise of the Northstar.

Live performances

Prizes will of course be awarded at the ceremony. But Les Foudres will also feature a number of live performances. " The evening promises to be an exciting mix of music, humor and spectacular happenings," it says. And the organizers have unveiled the groups confirmed for the occasion. Carpenter Brut, Grandma's Ashes, Revnoir and Gravekvlt will be on hand!

An evening broadcast on television
