Les Foudres, the ceremony dedicated to metal in France: here is the list of nominees

You've already heard of the Victoires de la musique, the NRJ Music Awards and Les Flammes. This autumn, get ready for a new ceremony. Entitled Les Foudres, this event will reward the metal scene in France! "It's about time. It's about time that metal, its artists, its craftsmen, its visions and its struggles, had their own recognition stage. Les Foudres was born of an obvious need: to celebrate an abundant scene that has remained in the shadows for too long", it says on the official website.

The French metal scene is finally entitled to its own awards ceremony! Called "Les Foudres", the event celebrates and rewards the talents of French metal artists, professionals and cultural players. Announced as the first ceremony dedicated to Metal in France, it will take place at the Bataclan in Paris, this Thursday, October 9, 2025. For this first edition, open to the public, 11 categories and therefore 11 awards have been announced, including revelation of the year, album of the year, artist of the year, event of the year and live performance of the year.
