It's an event that should arouse the curiosity of many a metalhead. This Thursday, October 9, 2025, the Bataclan in Paris opens its doors to Les Foudres, the very first ceremony dedicated to French metal. Like any ceremony worth its salt, the event will award prizes to the various bands and artists nominated. For this first edition, Gojira, Ten56., Alcest, Mass Hysteria and Sun are among the nominees.
Supported by the Parisian venue Le Bataclan and the Fédération des Musiques Métalliques, this ceremony is intended to pay tribute to a scene that has long been marginalized, but is now attracting more and more fans. The awards will be presented to artists, musicians and producers, as well as to those behind the scenes who are behind bold projects.
But Les Foudres will also feature a series of performances, including those by Carpenter Brut and Revnoir. The evening will also be held in public. From the pit of the Bataclan, metalheads will be able to experience this unique evening live. And tickets are still available. So don't delay if you're interested.
For those who can't make it, there's good news: you'll be able to follow Les Foudres from the comfort of your own home! So, when and where can you watch the first ceremony dedicated to French metal behind the small screen? France Télévisions has announced that the event will be broadcast on France 4 and france.tv on October 9, 2025 at 10:55 pm. The evening, scheduled to start at 6.30pm at Le Bataclan, will not be broadcast live on television, but will be available on a delayed basis.
