First shown in 2019, the Atelier des Lumières invites us back into Van Gogh’s world for an immersive exhibition open three days a week from July 3 to September 13. Wander through Van Gogh’s finest paintings, rediscovering the genius that was misunderstood in his own time.

Van Gogh, Starry Night : The immersive exhibition at the Atelier des Lumières returns this summer for an extraordinary retrospective you simply must see. If you missed this marquee show, or if you’re a Van Gogh enthusiast, go see this sound-and-light spectacle, once again screened every Monday, Thursday and Friday, from July 3 to September 13, 2026. The Atelier des Lumières whisks us into the Impressionist world of Vincent Van Gogh, letting us dive into the heart of his most famous canvases.

The exhibition Van Gogh, la nuit étoilée (Van Gogh, the starry night ) was presented at theAtelier des Lumière for the first time in 2019. Much appreciated by the public, this exhibition is regularly reprogrammed at the digital art center, during the vacations, for our great pleasure. If you haven't seen it yet, grab your chance this summer!

If you’ve already seen the exhibition a few years ago, allow yourself to be drawn back into the journey: it’s undergone a few tweaks and is now a touch more modern and immersive, with a refreshed soundtrack, new animations, and reimagined chapters.

So, what can we see in this exhibition? L'Atelier des Lumières offers a breathtaking immersion in the work of the Impressionist painter. Imagine 1,500 m² of walls, onto which Van Gogh's most famous paintings are projected. These paintings are animated to the rhythm of a playlist concocted especially for this exhibition, giving the impression of being alive. The 35-minute sound and light show features a total of over 2,000 moving images, immersing us in a breathtaking experience.

A journey to the heart of his work, we rediscover the different stages in the artist's life, focusing on his stays in Arles, Paris and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.

In groups, we travel to the heart of the works, and let ourselves be carried away to sunny fields and cities immortalized at night: Potato Eaters (1885), Sunflowers (1888), Starry Night (1889) and The Bedroom (1889) will hold no secrets for us.

An incredible immersive experience suitable for all ages, not to be missed! The exhibition is only open on Wednesdays at the end of the year. In the second part of the visit, you can also admire the exhibition "Dreamed Japan, images of the floating world."
