That’s a good deal! Street art fans are expected at Fluctuart to discover the cultural venue’s very first exhibition, Time Capsule, from June (the date hasn’t been communicated so far) to September 22, 2019. An installation by artist Swoon “pioneer and fighter for social rights” and who expresses her ideas and cries from the heart through various printings on linoleum and other cut-outs.
The exhibition offers here to diver into the artist’s first retrospective, The Canyon: 1999-2007 exhibited for the first time at the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) while being completed with “works created during her 15-day residency at Fluctuart”. A monography conceived like a chronological tour retelling “her artistic and technic evolution” and considered “like one singular installation”.
Let’s start the tour with “Swoon’s first printings”, iconic works and we end with her most recent works. A travelling exhibition going next to Munic MUCA, “partner of the creation of the exhibition”. All in all, 300sqm are used to show the talent of this committed artist who keeps pointing at the social inequalities. And to understand the artist’s approach better, specialized intermediaries from ICART (School of culture and art market management) are present daily from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., providing guided tours non-stop and for free.
Tours and workshops for children are also planned around the artist’s work and her exhibition to introduce them to art and artistic expression. In other words, the occasion to discover street art in a new light. Shall we go there, friends?
