Despite the coronavirus pandemic and even though we didn’t know yet when the Musée Carnavalet was to reopen – as it was closed for years for renovations – let’s make the best of the situation to digitally visit it, shall we? It’s what Muséosphère offers, a website belonging to Paris Musées, a public organization managing museums in Paris and offering 360° virtual tours as if you were there.
How does it work? It’s very simple: you simply have to go to Muséosphère and enjoy the tour. Start by browsing the entrance and four choices are available: discovering old Paris, how the city changed, dive into fashion and décor or enjoy ancient games and leisure. Salon Bleu, Salle Révolution, Salle Napoléon 1er or even Salle Louis-Philippe… As many museum rooms to discover with their legendary works of art.
Yet note this isn’t the museum renovated, but a tour before the renovation works. To discover the brand-new museum, you’ll have to wait until confinement is over and the reopening of the museum to enjoy the new tour created on the occasion.
