Christmas lights in Paris are a magical moment for the Holidays. From the Champs-Elysées to Bercy Village, via the very chic Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris shines bright. A sparkling stroll likely to blow you away despite coronavirus and lockdown!

Every year, for the Holidays, Paris is covered in lights with beautiful Christmas lights. The night seems sweeter, streets merrier despite the cold and rain.

Star shower, twinkling lights, light garlands, shimmering trees and multicolored Christmas tree bulbs enliven over 150 streets and 70 neighborhoods in Paris from the Champs-Elysées to Montmartre without forgetting the Boulevard Saint-Germain, Avenue des Gobelins, Place du Marché Sainte-Catherine, Bercy Village… A magical décor for a gleaming Christmas! Have some hot chocolate, eat some waffles on the streets while enjoying the light shows.

But this year, the lockdown set until at least December 1, 2020, changes everything. Some organizers are cancelling the lights. Others keep them, even though it will not be possible to see them by ourselves in November. They all bet on a lockdown-free December and have decided to set up their decorations, mostly paid by the city.

According to Paris deputy mayor entrusted with sores Olivia Polski: "Of course there will be lights in Paris during the holidays, but this year, we have to reconcile with a double-imperative: offering Parisians a festive - even magical - Christmas, while complying with the health guidelines".

In the meantime, here is the best Christmas lights 2020 in Paris:

For its Christmas lights 2020, Bercy Village provides us with an alley of sparkling umbrellas by Patricia Cunha. The famous designer - famous for her streets of colorful umbrellas - take over the open-air shopping mall from November 12, 2020 to January 17, 2021. And for children's greatest joy, a 11-m tall Christmas tree covered in umbrellas will be erected as well.

For the Holidays 2020, the Comité Vendôme offers us Christmas lights on the Place Vendôme. Meet from November 19 to see four 10-m tall Christmas trees and 160 others - and smaller - placed in front of stores be lit. A rather dull meeting France being on lockdown until December 1.
