December is coming, and the Île-de-France region is starting to shine! In Paris, the Champs-Élysées sparkles, department store windows light up, and the streets take on a festive air. Garlands, lights, and decorations create a warm atmosphere that heralds Christmas.
But the magic isn't limited to the capital... Just a few miles away, in the Yvelines (78), Mantes-la-Jolie is also preparing its Christmas lights. On Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 6 p.m., the city center will come alive with a large, free Christmas parade. Eight decorated floats and dozens of dancers will parade to officially launch the lights, as well as the Christmas market, where Santa Claus will make a few appearances, and the sledding track for young and old alike. Along the route, Christmas hats will be distributed to anyone who wants to enjoy the show while keeping their head warm.
The parade starts at Place Saint-Maclou, passes in front of the Palais de Justice and the Town Hall, before returning to the starting point along the Collégiale. With floats, dancers, and sparkling lights, the city center is transformed into a veritable Christmas village. Mantes-la-Jolie lights up for the holidays and offers a festive, friendly, and free event for young and old alike!
