For the 34th Fête de la Science, many establishments across France are promoting scientific culture and research, through events that are often fun and accessible for the whole family, from October 3 to 13, 2025.
And like every year, this new edition is open to all and free of charge. It's a great opportunity to learn more about the scientific advances made every year, and to gain a better understanding of the world around us.
That's the aim of the Exploradôme museum in Vitry-sur-Seine( Val-de-Marne, France), which opens its doors on October 10 and 11, 2025. This non-profit museum specializes in the popularization of scientific culture, making the Fête de la Science one of the establishment's key events of the year. Since 1998, it has been one of the most popular venues for scientific culture in the Paris region. And if you can't find what you're looking for, you can always consult our guide to available events in Paris and the Ile-de-France region.

How do babies' brains develop? Is there such a thing as plant intelligence? What impact does artificial intelligence have on artistic creation?
As part of the Fête de la Science 2025, the CNRS is taking over the Exploradôme for a day of workshops, scientific experiments, games and meetings with CNRS researchers on the theme of "Intelligences in action".
Through a wide range of formats - workshops, manipulations, meetings, demonstrations... - CNRS scientists invite you, through the prism of geosciences, biology, mathematics and human sciences, to discover intelligences in all their forms.
Come and experiment, investigate and manipulate to learn about scientific reasoning, and build your own knowledge!
How do babies learn from birth? Discover Babylab's research with photos and simple explanations on the development of intelligence in toddlers: motor skills, language, vision... A fascinating exhibition to understand the first steps of thought!
Based on interaction, the "Tour de science" workshops invite you to explore the many facets of engineering, physics, computer science and biology. The choice is yours: watch a live scientific demonstration or take part in a hands-on experience!
Free admission (subject to availability).
Discover the surprising intelligence of birds through educational games created by the Faune Alfort association, wildlife care centers! Explore the fascinating world of birds and their remarkable abilities. Learn to recognize bird songs and understand their essential functions in their daily lives. Identify the unique behaviors of each species at the feeders.
Discover the world of biomimicry, where technological innovations are inspired by the intelligence of birds. Finally, delve into the world of feathers and their multiple roles, which go far beyond simple flight, and play a vital role in the survival of these extraordinary animals. A fun and enriching experience for all those curious about nature, young and old!
Free admission (subject to availability). Several continuous sessions from 10am to 6pm.
On the program: you'll produce and record waves, pilot a submarine and reveal the secrets of the seabed and its subsoil!
With the help of a manuscript copied at the very end of the 13th century, discover a different way of thinking about and manipulating numbers. An invitation to explore mathematics as it was learned at the time!
Discover how AI is revolutionizing creation with live demonstrations and discuss its impact with two researchers.
Kristel Chanard, geophysicist, Adrienne Kish, extremophile microbiologist, and Visotheary Ung, biogeographer, talk about their passion for science, the obstacles they face as women, and share their advice to the younger generation.
In a friendly atmosphere, come and exchange ideas with scientists from a variety of disciplines in a speed searching format, within a set timeframe. At the gong, change tables and meet another researcher!
On the program: Neuroscience: unravel the mysteries of children's learning. Chemistry: discover how bio- and nanomaterials can help improve health. Astrochemistry: explore the study of organic matter on planets. Astrophysics: dive into the invisible and discover what high-energy neutrinos reveal about the Universe.
Free admission (subject to availability). Several continuous sessions from 10am to 6pm.
Mechatronics, physics, archaeobotany, exobiology and computer science: discover the 21 new ambassadors of the Femmes & Sciences association. Their objective? To show that science can also be done by women!
Touch plants such as the sensitive plant (Mimosa pudica) and watch them close their leaves in the blink of an eye! The Exploradôme's outreach team will explain how plants "think" and adapt to their environment. A surprising outdoor experience!
Free admission (subject to availability). Several sessions running continuously from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
