A manga festival with free activities and voice-acting sessions at a shopping mall in Essonne

From August 29 to September 5, 2026, the Brétigny-sur-Orge shopping centre in Essonne will transform to whisk you away to the land of manga, to the delight of children and fans of these Japanese works, all the rage right now. During this manga festival, a host of free activities are planned and accessible to everyone, including creative workshops, a live painting session, voice acting, and a creators’ market (illustrations, jewelry, handmade items, cakes, accessories, etc.).

For its third edition, the festival welcomes a guest of honor: Carole Baillien, the French voice of Naruto (link to Naruton article). You’ll have the chance to meet her on Saturday, September 5. It’s also an invitation to dive into the world of dubbing and peek behind the scenes, every Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2 to 6 pm, to test your voice and perhaps even uncover a hidden talent!

Also on the program, Saturday, August 29: a live painting session and a cosplay competition, a drawing showdown in the presence of Shong, a renowned author; Wednesday, September 3: creative workshops; Saturdays and Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM; and a makers’ market all week long dedicated to artisans with a varied lineup: ready-to-wear fashion, culinary specialties, merchandise, photography, candles, and more.
