Who said musicals were only for adults? At the end of 2025,the Opéra Bastille is offering shows suitable for children and young people, including Martin Squelette, for ages 8 and up. The program includes five performances from Monday,December 1 to Saturday, December 6, 2025, lasting only one hour each, so that families can discover this art form without having to sit through intermissions.
Inspired by Pierre Véry's novel Les Disparus de Saint-Agil , Martin Squelette is a musical composed by Isabelle Aboulker. Directed by Pascal Neyron, this production performed by the CRÉA d'Aulnay-sous-Bois stage choir transports the whole family intothe cinematic world of the 1980s.
Matthieu Sorgues, Philippe Macroy, and André Baume, three classmates, have sworn to escape to the United States of America... Boarders at Saint-Agil, they meet in the evenings to plan their departure. The meetings take place in the science classroom, chaired by their most loyal companion, Martin the skeleton. But soon, Sorgues and then Macroy disappear.
Everything suggests that they fled to the United States, but Baume finds it difficult to explain their actions. How could they have left without leaving a note or clue to explain their behavior? What if they never left? Or what if they were hiding somewhere? Perhaps they have even been kidnapped? Baume decides to unravel this mystery and conduct his own investigation...
Tickets are only €5 for children up to 15 years old and €16 for adults.
