On Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, the Cité des Sciences presents City of Tomorrow, a weekend of activities and workshops to help shape the future of this iconic Paris venue.

Created in 1986, the Cité des Sciences marks its 40th year of existence in 2026. Rather than going through a midlife crisis, the Cité invites the general public to help imagine and rethink the future of this cultural and scientific venue in Paris.

On the agenda: an immersive guided tour, workshops offered around seven different themes, a virtual reality experience, a photocall, and an interactive session with a robot... Not to mention the City’s Hollywood Boulevard, imagined especially for the occasion, where you can leave your mark like the stars!

What’s on the agenda for the City of Tomorrow at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie:

  • The hidden side of objects: decoding past innovations to shape tomorrow's breakthroughs
  • The City, your way: customize the façade of the City
  • Up'Cité: learn to consume differently by upcycling a ton of clothes
  • Science day, science always: the fundamentals of science and technology
  • Robot Duo: witness a science mediation with a robot
  • VR experience (virtual reality)
  • Immersive guided tour
  • Mediation Academy: step into the shoes of a science mediator for a day
  • K7 and AI: record a song created by artificial intelligence on a cassette
  • Hollywood Boulevard at the City: leave your mark
  • Photo Call

Great news for those turning 40 this year: you can enter for free with the code CITE1986 (please bring proof at entry). The activities will be held at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2026. To access the event you’ll need to purchase an exhibition ticket: €15 full price, €12 reduced, €4 for children aged 2 to 5, and €12 for youths aged 6 to 25.
