Bastille Day celebrations are something you have to experience! And for the occasion, the town of Gennevilliers in the Hauts-de-Seine (92) invites you to a public street dance for the National Day 2026, on July 13, 2026.
But before taking part in this grand public celebration, what’s on offer in the surrounding area? A stroll around the neighborhood, of course! Head to Île de la Jatte, perched between Neuilly and Levallois, for a refreshing outdoor walk. You can also squeeze in a bit of shopping at La Défense, have lunch at one of the mall’s restaurants, or enjoy the local exhibitions. You can also swing by the Parc des Sévines in Gennevilliers and make the most of its facilities.
And where should we eat before hitting the dance floor? Why not put together a picnic and enjoy it with the family, still at Parc des Sévines. If not, we can hop around the local venues and other restaurants near the town hall.
The fireworks that usually go off in Gennevilliers’ evening sky on July 13 are this year swapped for a popular street dance. And to celebrate Bastille Day, the city is treating Gennevilloises and Gennevillois to a full slate of activities!
From 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., locals are invited to gather in the allées Maria-Casarès to attend a concert by the group Le Grand Pop, a popular-dance orchestra. A chance to embark on a world tour through music and song. Parisian waltzes, Neapolitan tarantellas, Congolese rumbas… there’s something for everyone!
From 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., DJ Junkaz Lou will be on site to get the crowd dancing.
From 11:30 p.m. to midnight, it’s the turn of the Remue-Ménage company to thrill Gennevillians. With its show Les Minuscules, the troupe offers a sound-and-light performance blending theatre, dance and acrobatics.
For those hoping to bring a picnic, long tables will be laid out and ready from 7:30 p.m.
