Located 10 km southwest of Paris in the Val-de-Marne region, Champigny-sur-Marne offers a pleasant living environment in one of the loops of the Marne River. The surrounding environment is so pleasant that this little corner of the Île-de-France region has been inhabited since prehistoric times, as evidenced by the remains of life found during archaeological digs.
Over the centuries, the commune's inhabitants have left more or less spectacular traces of their passage. Churches and chapels, Cœuilly castle , garden city, Champigny fort, parks and islands, cultural curiosities... A walk to discover all these treasures is a must!
But in July 2023, there's much more going on in Champigny . The town is once again organizing festivities to celebrate its national holiday on Thursday, July 13, 2023. This year's festivities kick off in the early evening at the Parc Départemental du Plateau, with a lively dance party organized by Champigny's firefighters, before a star-studded fireworks display at 11 p.m. as night falls!
Admission is of course free, and no dancing skills are required to enjoy the dance-floor. Happy National Day to all!
