The House of Ladurée celebrates Christmas 2025 by transporting us to an enchanted universe where Greek mythology and the art of French patisserie come together. In this extraordinary garden inspired by the Hesperides myth, amid flowers and trees, stands an apple tree with golden fruit.
It's against this magical backdrop that Chef Julien Alvarez, World Pastry Champion 2011, unveils his Christmas 2025 collection. To illustrate this enchanted vision, the Parisian house has enlisted the help of Korean artist and illustrator Daria Song, renowned for her meticulous drawings imbued with poetry and finesse. She has created a sublime, dreamlike garden of gold and white, which graces the season's creations.
The real star of this collection is the signature log imagined by Julien Alvarez, in which apples are worked in all their forms. This gourmet sculpture pays homage to the Garden of Hesperides and the magic of the holiday season. The chef confides that he wanted to create a log that was both magical and generous, with a particular focus on textures for maximum indulgence. First, we discover a delicate sugar sculpture adorned with gold leaf and enhanced by a golden apple soufflé. Beneath this cloche lies an exceptional entremets composed of a vanilla cookie with muscovado sugar on a crunchy buckwheat base, melting apples, a creamy, runny caramel with fleur de sel, and a light vanilla cream.
We were lucky enough to taste this creation, and loved the regressive flavors reminiscent of Tarte Tatin. The apple-caramel-vanilla combination takes us straight back to childhood, with that little hint of buckwheat adding a warm, gourmet note.
The magic doesn't stop there, as this dessert contains a new surprise in its base, with macaroons from the Noël collection accompanied by delicate hazelnut pearls coated in vanilla. A spectacular piece that deserves its place at the center of the table. This exceptional creation is available to order for 8 people, prices on request.
In addition to this exceptional piece, Ladurée offers its iconic logs that pay homage to the house's famous macaroon. We were also able to taste them, and confirm that the recipes are perfectly balanced. The Vanille Amande log features a soft almond cookie, a flowing caramel heart with fleur de sel and almond praline, a light vanilla cream and a chocolate-vanilla shell. The Ispahan log, the house signature, combines a fondant rose cookie, a raspberry-pink crunch, a rose-scented mascarpone chantilly and a fondant raspberry-litchi heart. The Pistachio log features a soft pistachio cookie, a melting pistachio and fleur de sel praline center, and a mascarpone chantilly. Finally, the Chocolate Hazelnut log features a melting hazelnut cookie, a hazelnut cream with a melting caramel heart, and a Guanaja chocolate mousse.
We still love the house's signature macaron design, which enhances each log. At the top, a decoration of gold macaron shells and broken macaroons, reminiscent of Ladurée's DNA. It's elegant, it's gourmand, it's simply gorgeous. All these creations are priced at 78 euros for 6 people, or 11 euros individually, and are available to order or for home delivery.
For the festive season, Ladurée macaroons are adorned with three magical new flavors. The Macaron Guimauve Chocolat Chaud offers two chocolate macaron shells sprinkled with golden crêpes dentelles, topped with a spicy chocolate and cocoa nib marshmallow. The Châtaigne Macaron features two shells sprinkled with delicate copper crêpe dentelle petals, topped with a chestnut cream lightly flavored with rum. Finally, the iconic Vanille Or macaron, topped with gold leaf, makes its comeback at 4.90 euros a piece from December 15. The new macaroons are available at 2.90 euros from November 5 in the company's Paris boutiques.

To round off this delicious wait, a gummy bear awaits you. An exquisite way to keep the magic going day after day. These creations are aimed at lovers of refined patisserie who seek the elegance and quality of the great Parisian houses. If you're looking for a log that creates a sensation at the table, combining tradition and creativity, you've come to the right place. On the other hand, if you prefer chocolatey desserts or frozen logs, this may not be the place for you. Here, the emphasis is on finesse, intricate textures and subtle combinations. A wonderful discovery to make, to brighten up your festive tables with elegance and gourmandise.
