Easter Egg Hunt 2025 at Domaine de Saint-Jean de Beauregard (91)

Like the Château de Vaux le Vicomte, Breteuil and Thoiry, the Château de Saint-Jean-de-Beauregard also welcomes families for an Easter egg hunt on April 20 and 21, 2025. An egg hunt in an exceptional Île-de-France estate, taking children through the park, formal garden, boxwood borders and trimmed hedges in search of thousands of dummy eggs, hidden for the occasion.

Every hour (at 2.15pm, 3.15pm, 4.15pm and 5.15pm), children can go on an egg hunt in the park's undergrowth. A part of the woods will become the kingdom of 6-10 year-olds, while a smaller area will be dedicated to children aged 3 to 5 accompanied by their parents to unearth the eggs. Their mission? Find at least six dummy eggs, including a precious yellow egg, at the foot of trees, in bushes, under branches or in leaves. These are then exchanged for a bag of real chocolate eggs, guaranteeing everyone their share of delicious treats!

In addition to the big egg hunt, there are plenty of other activities on offer for children: a chocolate culinary workshop, crepe paper flower-making, the Olympic Egg Race, a treasure hunt around the estate.... Not to mention the castle's animals, which children can meet on this unique weekend of the year!

The Château de Saint-Jean de Beauregard and its Remarkable Garden
The Château de Saint-Jean de Beauregard, located in Essonne in the Parc Naturel Régional de la Haute Vallée de Chevreuse, is a remarkably well-preserved 19th-century château classified as a historic monument. There will be plenty of activities for children to enjoy this Easter:

• Culinary workshop: chocolate

Franck Nanguy (Au fil des Saisons) invites children to rediscover chocolate by making a few simple, gourmet pieces. At the end of the workshop, children leave with a bag of treats they've made themselves.

• Crepon flowers workshop

This workshop will enable children to make pretty flowers from crepe paper. Simple folds to create a pretty bouquet!

• Olympic Eggs

This event will appeal to young and old alike. Race an egg balanced on a spoon. The first to cross the finish line without dropping the egg wins! The prize is chocolate eggs!

• Ring Throwing

Skill and precision are the watchwords of this game. Estimate the distance, aim and throw! The participant who passes the most rings wins!

• Treasure hunt on the estate

From 3 to 12 years old, the treasure hunts will take you from discovery to discovery. In a fun and lively way, children can learn about the workings of a remarkably well-preserved site classified as a Historic Monument: the inhabitants, the animals, the buildings, the trees, the dovecote, the vegetable garden...

• Drawing Competition

To your pencils! This drawing workshop invites children to use their imagination and creativity to decorate their Easter egg. As a bonus, you'll win some very large chocolate eggs.

• Discovering Easter animals

Easter is also Easter in the animal world. Long live the chickens and chicks that children can discover during their visit. In the park, sheep and lambs revive the ancestral tradition of pleasure grazing, commonly used in the 17th century to maintain parks and gardens.
