Halloween 2026 at Château d’Auvers: forest tales and family-friendly cinema

Storytelling walks in the park and family-friendly cinema: the Château d’Auvers Celebrates Halloween on October 28 and 31, 2026, weaving forest mysteries, legends, and a dose of Monster House.

Stories leave the pages of books to take to the paths of the Château d’Auvers. For Halloween 2026, the Val-d’Oise estate is offering three events on 28 and 31 October: two guided strolls through the park and a family movie screening.

On Wednesday, October 28 at 4:30 p.m., the walk follows the adventures of Cadichon. As the story unfolds, the donkey discovers the forest and meets its residents. The park serves as the backdrop for the tale: an outing where the stroll carries the narrative.

On Saturday, October 31 at 6 p.m., the atmosphere shifts with The Legend of Jack O’Lantern. Participants venture into the woods by the light of their flashlights. The Halloween lantern figure sets the theme for this second gathering, held at dusk.

At 6:30 PM, the château will also screen Monster House in its event hall. The movie screening and Saturday’s walk are two separate outings, with overlapping schedules.

Built in 1635 for an Italian financier at Marie de Medici’s court, the château towers over the Oise valley. Its terraces and gardens provide a historic backdrop for the season’s stories.

Reservation required at the château ticket office. The 31st’s guided stroll costs €15 for adults, €9 for ages 8–17, and is free for children up to 7. The cinema is €5 for ages 8 and up, €2 for children up to 7. Meet at Rue de Léry, Auvers-sur-Oise.
