Heritage Days 2026 at Molitor Pool: Paris’s Art Deco jewel

Discover Molitor in a new light—that’s the aim of the Heritage Days, returning for a fresh edition and the 43rd, on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026. As in previous years, the Heritage Days invite curious visitors and enthusiasts to freely step through the doors of museums and monuments, institutions, castles, but also sometimes quirky, hidden, and lesser-known places.

Why not take advantage of the Journées du Patrimoine to discover the sublime and famous Molitor swimming pool in a different light? Nestled in the chic 16th arrondissement of Paris, the Molitor pool was inaugurated in 1929, and designed by architect Lucien Pollet.

In its day, it quickly became the capital’s most sought-after swimming pool, thanks to its two pools and its avant-garde vibe. After a closure in 1989 and its designation as a historic monument, the Molitor Pool rises from the ashes in 2014 by becoming a chic Parisian hotel. So come and enjoy the Heritage Days 2026 to walk through the doors of this iconic pool in the capital. Note that some activities require advance registration!

  On the occasion of European Heritage Days 2026, the Molitor hotel is opening its doors to reintroduce one of Paris’s most iconic Art Deco landmarks.

  On Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., dive into the distinctive artistic world of the indoor pool's cabanas and explore the space at your own pace with an audio guide, to discover the site's history and the works of the artists who have inhabited it.

  As you tour, discover the 70 artistic cabins that line the indoor pool. Each has been reinterpreted by an artist from around the world—from Asia, Africa, the Americas, Europe, or the Middle East.

  Urban frescoes, ephemeral pieces, and provocative creations form a true artistic labyrinth, where every cabin tells its own story and invites you to view Molitor’s heritage with fresh eyes.
