For this 42nd edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, this emblematic monument on the Place de la Concorde will be opening its doors to you on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September 2025. And you might as well say it straight away, but you're in for an eyeful as you discover this monument in the days of the Garde-meuble de la Couronne, or the Al Thani Collection, which brings together a number of masterpieces from Antiquity to the present day. Visits to theHôtel de la Marine are also an opportunity to admire the sumptuous state rooms and enjoy an exceptional, unobstructed view of the Place de la Concorde from the loggia.

Created in the 18th century by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the King's first architect, theHôtel de la Marine housed the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne until 1798, when it became the headquarters of the Ministry and then the Naval Staff for over two hundred years.

    Saturday, September 20, 2025 - 10:30 ⤏ 19:00 | Sunday, September 21, 2025 - 10:30 ⤏ 19:00

To mark the 42nd European Heritage Days, the Hôtel de la Marine will open its doors free of charge on Saturday September 20 and Sunday September 21, 2025.

This is an opportunity to discover the exhibition _The Seven Celestial Senses_ from the Al Thani Collection, the sumptuous state rooms and the loggia, with free admission subject to availability.

Through some forty works created in a variety of contexts and periods, the exhibition invites visitors to explore notions of figuration, form, artistic techniques and memory. This sensitive and experimental journey offers a fresh look at artistic creation, beyond the boundaries of time.

The selection is structured around the theme of the seven senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch, the vestibular sense (balance and movement) and proprioception (the body's ability to perceive its own position in space). The lesser-known sixth and seventh senses may have an immaterial, even spiritual character.

  • Visit the 18th-century apartments, state rooms and loggia
    Saturday, September 20, 2025 - 10:30 ⤏ 19:00 | Sunday, September 21, 2025 - 10:30 ⤏ 19:00

To mark the 42nd European Heritage Days, the Hôtel de la Marine will open its doors free of charge on Saturday September 20 and Sunday September 21, 2025.

At the same time, the public can take advantage of the weekend to admire _Le Labyrinthe_, a monumental installation by Jérémy Pradier-Jeauneau created especially for the Hôtel de la Marine as part of Paris Design Week.

With Le Labyrinthe, Jérémy Pradier-Jeauneau deploys a sensitive and poetic installation, conceived as a journey in three chapters between the Cour d'Honneur, the salons d'apparat and the loggia of the Hôtel de la Marine.
