On the occasion of the 43rd edition of the Heritage Days, the American Church of Paris invites you to guided tours on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026. A pioneer among American churches outside the United States, it is more precisely a multiconfessional Protestant congregation whose origins date back to 1814.
The Gothic Revival church was built in 1926 on the Quai d'Orsay by architect Carrol Greenough. The sanctuary was consecrated in 1931. The church then became an interdenominational association, open to all those who follow the Apostles' Creed (also known as the "Credo", Latin for "I believe", and different from the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed).
Today, the church is mainly attended by American expatriates and English speakers from all over the world. The building is also home to two bilingual nursery schools, fitness, kung fu and basketball groups, as well as free concerts and other cultural activities. A great opportunity to discover Paris's Franco-American heritage, as well as the building's little-known history!

Come and see our two Tiffany stained-glass windows, listed as historical monuments, and the stained glass by Charles J. Connick—an eminent American painter, muralist, and designer, best known for his neo-Gothic stained-glass works.
