Located in the immediate vicinity of the Château de Bourron, the church was home to a number of "learned" curates: the vicar Vansleb, and the curates Oudin and Pougeois.
The transept, part of the nave and the choir are listed historic monuments. Visitors can discover the rare funerary liters, tombstones, stained-glass windows and statues of Saint-Avoye and Saint-Sévère (patron saint of the parish), not forgetting other statues (Saint-Fiacre...).
Visitors can also admire the exceptional new German Romantic organ built and installed in 2012 by organ builder Yves Fossaert.
In addition to an enamelled explanatory plaque on the outside, explanatory panels, a booklet retracing the history of the site and information desks will be on hand to provide you with all the information you need.
Enjoy your visit!

Heritage Days 2025 at Bourron-Marlotte town hall
### Come and discover the works housed in this town hall, which preserves over 500 works by 19th-century small masters.
The Bourron-Marlotte town hall-museum was decorated by Charles Moreau-Vauthier, a Parisian artist who lived in the town between 1906 and 1922. A pupil of Gérôme, he gave up painting at the Salons fairly quickly, but remained an outstanding entertainer. Mobilizing his friends in Paris and the Fontainebleau region, he succeeded in collecting some 70 works to open the "Petit Musée" at the town hall in 1907. Donations have continued to add to this small museum, which today boasts over 500 diverse works, some of which are classified.
