The European Heritage Days are back for their 40th edition on the weekend of September 16 and 17, 2023! This not-to-be-missed cultural event is synonymous with good deals and original visits. Over the course of a weekend, the most beautiful treasures of our heritage reveal their secrets through a vast program of events, often free of charge, designed for all publics. Paris and the whole of the Île-de-France region get in on the action, inviting us to conquer museums, monuments, churches, libraries, fashion houses, embassies, hospitals and much more, to explore our heritage in all its facets.

The Heritage Days are also an opportunity to take advantage ofexceptional openings. Among the sites usually closed to the public that welcome us for this event are ministries. These government establishments are often located in the heart of beautiful private mansions. For this 40th edition, you'll be able to visit theHôtel de Castries in the 7th arrondissement. Dating back to the end of the 17th century, this private mansion has housed a number of ministries. Today, it houses the Ministry for Democratic Renewal and the Government Spokesman's Office.
