On the 19th and 20th of September, history unfolds like a treasure waiting to be discovered in Paris and Île-de-France. For two days, museums, private mansions, iconic institutions and unusual venues throw open their doors for free, some for the rest of the year they’re typically closed. A perfect opportunity to let your curiosity run wild, wander the corridors of time, and uncover hidden treasures in a fresh, vivid way—with both intensity and lightness.

For this event, the Château Arribas in Condé-Sainte-Libiaire (Seine-et-Marne - 77) opens its gates to the public for an exceptional occasion. Built in the 13th century and rebuilt in the 17th century after the Religious Wars, the castle was successively owned by the Benedictine monks of Lagny and then by the Vaudétar family. The castle church, dedicated to Sainte Libiaire and dating from 1627, preserves magnificent stained glass windows by Thiercelin.

Since 2019, the site has been owned by Arribas France, a specialist in glass art and the official supplier to Disneyland Paris. Here, walls steeped in history mingle with the flames of the glassblowers and molten crystal.

Saturday, September 19 — 2:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Circus workshops: juggling, acrobatics, balances, aerial arts, clowning, magic, giant soap bubbles.
Each child must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the activities.
Equestrian shows: five numbers, including a liberty act, an equestrian demonstration, a white-and-black routine, a haute école pas de deux, and a fire act.
Glassmaking workshop: engraving, glassblowing, cane blowing.
Archery: beginner session open to all, supervised by the Condé-Sainte-Libiaire archers.
Craft market: 15 exhibitors.
Concert: in the evening.
Food and drink: on site.

Classic car exhibition in the château park, marking two anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of the Renault 4CV and the 70th of the Renault Dauphine. Open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Heritage walk: relive your love of cars with a 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. stroll.
Craft market: 15 exhibitors.
On-site catering.
Archery: taster sessions open to all, led by the Condé-Sainte-Libiaire archers.
