It is a sad news that we learn this Friday, April 17, 2020, "Aline" is an orphan. Its author, composer and interpreter Christophe died last night as a result of emphysema while he was affected by the coronavirus.

Christophe, hospitalized due to Covid-19 since March 26, passed away in the evening of Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the age of 74 years. The flagship singer of the years yé-yé had composed several big hits that will survive him such as Les mots bleus, Aline or Les Marionnettes. Christophe was an author, composer and performer had a crazy success but decided to leave everything by leaving the scene overnight after a farewell concert at theOlympia at the peak of his career in 1974.

The star of the 60s had planned to return to the stage at the Grand Rex, in late April 2020, with some friends invited for a show that was initially postponed to September and may well turn into a tribute to the deceased singer if the health conditions allowthe opening of the rooms at that time.

On March 26, the singer woke up with breathing difficulties. He was quickly diagnosed as suffering from coronavirus and hospitalized in Cochin in Paris before being transferred to thehospital in Brest where he died alongside his daughter yesterday late afternoon.

Many artists pay tribute to him on the web, like his friend of always and lyricist Jean-Michel Jarre that Christophe had initiated to Synthé in the 60s.

The singer passed away shortly after his friend Raphael Haroche performed Les mots bleus, in tribute, to end his Live that day.

Many artists decided to pay tribute to the singer, on the web, by covering some of his hits:

Just like Thierry Amiel:

And Christophe Maé in his latest Instagram Story.

Or ink Matthieu Chedid - M:
