Some people are just starting to look forward to the winter vacations , while others are already anticipating the upcoming spring vacations in April and May. And the timing is perfect, as the SNCF will soon be opening sales of its train tickets for the spring vacations, which start on April 6 for those in Zone C.
"Under normal circumstances, you can buy your train tickets 4 months in advance for TGV INOUI and INTERCITES trains. For the Christmas, Winter, Spring and Summer vacation periods, an exceptional opening of sales on a fixed date is planned", reminds the SNCF.
More specifically, from Wednesday January 24 at 6am, it will be possible to book travel on TGV and Intercités trains between Monday March 25 and Wednesday May 22, 2024. During this period, five public holidays ( Easter Monday, Labor Day, May 8, Ascension Day and Whit Monday) will enable French people to enjoy several extended weekends or take longer trips to the four corners of the country. And travelers will be jumping at the chance to escape to the sea, the countryside, the mountains or the city during their spring vacations.
For fans of the Ouigo train, the plans are even more far-reaching. It's already possible to book your train ticket on board the famous low-cost company until July 5!
A word of advice: don't delay, because the earlier you book, the more you'll benefit from low-price tickets! And if you have to cancel or postpone your trip, don't panic: tickets for TGV Inoui trains are refundable and exchangeable free of charge up to and including 7 days before departure. From 6 days before departure, the conditions of your ticket apply.
