With the Easter Monday looming on the horizon, many French people are set to make the most of their three-day weekend. But will the sun be out? Will it be possible to enjoy pleasant strolls in Paris and Île-de-France? Will the egg hunts be spoiled by a stretch of showers? Here are the answers with the forecasts from Météo France.
We start with the day of Saturday 4 April, when rain is forecast across Île-de-France in the morning. But conditions should clear up in the afternoon as brighter skies move in and are expected to linger into the evening. As for temperatures, it will be fairly mild. Expect 11°C to 13°C in the morning, then 15°C to 17°C in the afternoon.
For Sunday, April 5, 2026, marked by several Easter egg hunts, the forecast is mixed: in the morning, a very cloudy sky over the western half of the region, with possible showers. Rain is expected to spread more widely across Île-de-France in the afternoon. The weather looks set to be damp in Val-d'Oise, Yvelines, Seine-Saint-Denis, and the northeast of Seine-et-Marne. For now, only Essonne and Val-de-Marne appear likely to stay dry. On the mercury, temperatures will be broadly similar, between 12°C and 14°C in the morning, then 13°C to 17°C in the afternoon.
So, what should we expect on Monday, April 6, the public holiday? According to Météo France, the day is shaping up to be sunny. Expect bright spells across the Île-de-France region in the morning, and again in the afternoon. Temperatures will be a touch cooler in the early hours, ranging from 9°C to 11°C. In the afternoon, look for readings around 15°C to 18°C.
Of course, these forecasts are subject to confirmation in the days ahead. So stay tuned! But one thing's for sure: whatever the weather, there's still plenty to do this long weekend!
