The Champs-Élysées continues to be the premier destination to ring in New Year 2026 in Paris, complete with its legendary fireworks display! While some transportation options will operate overnight, several metro stations around the avenue will be closed on the afternoon and evening of December 31st for "security reasons," according to RATP. However, to ensure a smooth celebration for the New Year's Eve festivities along the Champs-Élysées, and "for security reasons", several metro stations and RER stations near this iconic Parisian avenue will be closed on the afternoon and evening of December 31, 2025. This announcement comes from the RATP on their website.
This will notably be the case for the Charles de Gaulle - Étoile station (RER A, lines 1 and 2). The station will be closed from 2:00 p.m. on December 31st until 1:00 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Additionally, access to the Champs-Élysées - Clemenceau station on lines 1 and 13 will also be blocked starting at 4:00 p.m. on December 31st. The same applies to the Concorde, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and George V stations. Plan ahead if you intend to take public transport to reach the Champs-Élysées and celebrate New Year’s Eve 2026 in Paris.

- Charles de Gaulle - Étoile Station: Closed from 2 p.m. on December 31 until 1 a.m. on January 1.
- George V Station: No service on December 31 from 4 p.m. until 1 a.m. on January 1.
- Franklin D. Roosevelt Station: Station access will be closed on December 31 from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on January 1.
- Champs-Élysées - Clemenceau Station: Entry will be restricted starting at 4 p.m. on December 31.
- Concorde Station: Access will be unavailable from 4 p.m. on December 31 until 1 a.m. on January 1.
- Tuileries Station: No service after 4 p.m. on December 31.
