It is exactly the same idea that the founders of Bureaux du Coeur, thesolidarity initiative to help those in precarious situations, had.
The concept? You make your professional premises available when they are empty, in the evening, on weekends, in order to welcome people in very precarious situations (students in a situation of poverty, women who have suffered domestic violence, people in reintegration...).
People are put in contact with Bureaux du cœur by partner associations, but they must meet several criteria: they must be single, of age, without addiction or hygiene problems and not requiring specific medical care. The reception is considered as an individual emergency reception, for a rather long period, 3 to 6 months. Each person is considered a guest, as Bureaux du Coeur really wants to help these people to reintegrate into society, hence the partnership with associations.
How does it work? Bureaux du Cœur offers to any company, association or structure willing to host a guest in a precarious situation to contact them, in order to see the legal and practical aspects and to decide if the hosting is feasible or not.
