School bullying affects 1 in 10 children in France. AIPEC is organizing an awareness-raising day on September 25 in Asnières sur Seine.

At the start of the school year, it's imperative to be aware of school bullying. This scourge affects 10% of French schoolchildren. To highlight this urgent issue, theAssociation Indépendante de Parents d'Elèves du Collège Voltaire d'Asnières (AIPEC), in collaboration with the Mairie d'Asnières and the school's teaching staff, has organized an awareness-raising day.

The day, dedicated primarily to 4th graders at Collège Voltaire, will include screenings and debates on the deeply moving film "Marion 13 ans pour toujours". Based on the tragic story of Marion, a victim of harassment to the point of committing the irreparable, this film bears witness to the relentless struggle of her mother, Nora Fraisse. Nora, also founder of the association "Marion la main tendue", will be on hand to moderate the debates, with the help ofOlivier Béréziat, a specialized educator from the same association, and Antoine Métayer, a hypnotherapist specializing in supporting young people, particularly victims of harassment.

In the evening, AIPEC and the Mairie d'Asnières invite you to a screening-debate open to all at the Studio-Théâtre. This will be followed by a discussion session with Nora Fraisse. For book lovers, there will be a book-signing session for Nora's books, including "Stop au harcèlement " and "Marion 13 ans pour toujours", starting at 6:30pm. These books, as well as the comic strip "Camélia face à la meute", are available in partnership with Librairie Nouvelle.

The screening starts at 7:30pm. Although admission is free, we strongly recommend that you reserve your seats, as numbers are limited. To do so, please send your reservations to aipec.voltaire@gmail.com.

The book "Marion 13 ans pour toujours" not only shed light on Marion's tragic fate, but also highlighted the importance of combating harassment. Julie Gayet gave a remarkable performance as Nora in the film adaptation, adding an extra emotional dimension to this vital battle.

The event will be held at the Studio-Théâtre d'Asnières. Please book in advance by contacting aipec.voltaire@gmail.com.
