Essonne: where to find the best 2024 butter croissant in the department

Some like it hot, just out of the oven, others slightly warm, but often golden and crisp. The butter croissant continues to delight young and old alike, whether at breakfast or snack time.

So, to make sure you don't go wrong and enjoy the best butter croissants in your area, competitions are multiplying. After the big competition for a bakery-patisserie in the capital's 12th arrondissement, it'sEssonne 's turn to reveal the 2024 winners of the department's best butter croissant competition.

The results of the competition were announced in early June by the Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat du 91. And it's in Orsay that you'll have to go to taste the best butter croissant in Essonne 2024. Artisan Valentin Delvalet of the Paris Panem bakery won the competition in the"Company Managers" category.

Second place went to Anthony Beuchet of Le Fournil d'Autrefois bakery in Étampes, followed in third place by Jean-Paul Crosnier of Maison Crosnier in Arpajon.

In the"Employees" category, Loïc Pichon of the bakery-patisserie Les petits gourmands in Athis-Mons won first prize.
