Be careful if you have to use public transport in the Paris region this week, from May 5 to 11, 2025. Due to a nationwide SNCF strike, traffic is disrupted on several RER and Transilien lines in Paris and the Île-de-France region.
On Monday May 5, the strike caused disruptions on three RER lines and two Transilien lines. On Tuesday, the situation was virtually identical in the Paris region. So what can we expect on May 7? New, more extensive disruptions are expected this Wednesday. Four RER lines will be affected. On the Transilien, seven lines will be affected. So, which lines are affected? As for the RER, major disruptions are once again expected on RER line C, with 1 train out of 2 expected. This RER line crosses the Paris conurbation, with numerous junctions, including Porte Maillot, Avenue du Président Kennedy, Champ-de-Mars, Les Invalides, Musée d'Orsay, Saint-Michel and Gare d'Austerlitz.
Another RER line affected by the strike this Wednesday? RER line B, which is very popular with commuters. Here too, traffic will be"severely disrupted".
