Following on from the SNCF strikes, some RATP metro drivers have initiated a local industrial action this Friday, June 20, 2025, with a reduced impact, on three metro lines only. Launched by the FO, Solidaires and La Base RATP unions, this lightning strike is being held in support of the drivers on lines 3 and 3bis,"whose working conditions are becoming increasingly degraded", and following "the repression targeting certain agents for abuses at the outset". The latter are therefore affected, as is line 13.
If you use these lines regularly, or are due to do so this Friday, you'd better rethink your journey, as these non-air-conditioned lines will be overcrowded due to the reduced number of metros, while a heatwave prevails in the capital. According to RATP, line 3 will operate with 1 train out of 2, line 13 with 3 trains out of 4, while line 3bis will be interrupted all day.
The strike will last just one day, while on the following day, to mark the Fête de la Musique, some metro lines will be open all night to allow Parisians to get home.
