This Saturday, December 9, 2023, due to the day's weather, Paris City Hall has taken the decision to close parks, gardens and other green spaces to the public, until further notice.

The decision has just been taken by Paris City Hall: all day this Saturday, December 9, 2023, the capital's green spaces will be closed to the public.

While Météo France announced that Paris and the Île-de-France region would be under yellow alert for the whole weekend last night, Paris City Hall took another decision, justified by the current weather conditions. As a result, the Christmas village that had just been inaugurated last week on the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville will be closed, as will Paris parks, gardens, squares and cemeteries.

Having already requested the closure of Parisian green spaces during the recent storms - Ciaran and Domingos - Paris City Hall is renewing the operation this Saturday, December 9, 2023 and maintaining the closures until further notice. During bad weather, we recommend that you limit your outings and exercise caution if you have to travel, but also that you avoid sheltering under trees and avoid walking in the forest.
